SUBJECT: Street Acceptance - Wooldridge Heights Drive located in
Section One, Wooldridge Heights
INITIATED BY: Engineering
Recommendation: Approval is requested for the acceptance of a deed to
Wooldridge Heights Drive located in Section One, Wooldridge Heights.
Background: Wooldridge Heights Drive located in Section One, Wooldridge
Heights has (12) Twelve residential lots. The street has been improved and
meets the required specifications for acceptance by the City.
Analysis: A deed has been conveyed to the City conveying Wooldridge Heights
Drive located in Section One, Wooldridge Heights. A description of property is
as follows: All that tract and parcel of land situate, lying and being in
Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia, and comprising of all of Wooldridge Heights
Drive in that certain subdivision known as Section One, Wooldridge Heights, as
said street is shown upon a map or plat of said subdivision recorded in Plat
Book 162, folio 342 in the office of the Clerk of the Superior Court of
Muscogee County, Georgia.
Financial Considerations: No City funds are involved until maintenance is
assumed after the two-year warranty.
Projected Annual Fiscal Impact Statement: The City will assume maintenance
after the two-year warranty ends.
Legal Considerations: In Accordance with Section 18-3 of the Columbus Code,
all dedicated right-of-way must be accepted by Council.
Recommendations/ Actions: Approve the Resolution accepting a deed to
Wooldridge Heights Drive located in Section One, Wooldridge Heights.
A RESOLUTION

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DEED TO WOOLDRIDGE HEIGHTS DRIVE
LOCATED IN SECTION ONE, WOOLDRIDGE HEIGHTS ON BEHALF OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA.
WHEREAS, Columbus, Georgia has been submitted a deed conveying Wooldridge
Heights Drive located in Section One, Wooldridge Heights, a full description of
property on said deed; and,
WHEREAS, said street has been improved and meets the required specifications
for acceptance by the City; and,
WHEREAS, the Engineering Department has inspected said street and recommends
acceptance of same.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That certain deed dated January 19, 2011, conveying Columbus, Georgia
Wooldridge Heights Drive located in Section One, Wooldridge Heights be and the
same is hereby accepted. The Clerk of Council is hereby authorized to have said
deed recorded in the Deed Records in the Office of the Superior Court of
Muscogee County, Georgia. A copy of deed is hereto attached and by this
reference made a part of this resolution.
