SUBJECT: Street Acceptance - That portion of Ruffie Way located

in Kitten Lake, Replat of Parcel

200B, Replat of Parcel 200 Phase One Kitten Lake



INITIATED BY: Department of Engineering



Recommendation: Approval is requested for the acceptance of that portion of

Ruffie Way located in Kitten Lake, Replat of Parcel 200B, Replat of Parcel 200

Phase One Kitten Lake.



Background: That portion of Ruffie Way located in Kitten Lake, Replat of Parcel

200B, Replat of Parcel 200 Phase One Kitten Lake has (4) four Commercial lots.

The street has been improved and meets the required specifications for

acceptance by the City.



Analysis: A deed has been conveyed to the City conveying that portion of Ruffie

Way located in Kitten Lake, Replat of Parcel 200B, Replat of Parcel 200 Phase

One Kitten Lake. A description of property is as follows: All those tracts and

parcels of land in Land Lots 67 & 62, 9th District, Muscogee County, Georgia,

described as "Ruffie Way" as shown upon a map or plat entitled "Replat of

Parcel 200B, Replat of Parcel 200, Phase One, Kitten Lake, Part of Land Lots 62

& 67, 9th District, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia" by Moon, Meeks, Mason &

Vinson, Inc. dated 12 August, 2016 recorded at Plat Book 165, Folio 53,

Muscogee County, Georgia records.



Financial Considerations: No City funds are involved until maintenance is

assumed after the two-year warranty.



Projected Annual Fiscal Impact Statement: No City funds are involved until

maintenance is assumed after the two-year warranty.



Legal Considerations: In Accordance with Section 18-3 of the Columbus Code, all

dedicated right-of-way must be accepted by Council.



Recommendations/ Actions: Approval is requested for the acceptance of a deed to

that portion of Ruffie Way located in Kitten Lake, Replat of Parcel 200B,

Replat of Parcel 200 Phase One Kitten Lake.











A RESOLUTION

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DEED TO THAT PORTION OF RUFFIE WAY

LOCATED IN KITTEN LAKE REPLAT OF PARCEL 200B, REPLAT OF PARCEL 200 PHASE ONE

KITTEN LAKE ON BEHALF OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA.

WHEREAS, Columbus, Georgia has been submitted a deed conveying that portion of

Ruffie Way located in Kitten Lake Replat of Parcel 200B, Replat of Parcel 200

Phase One Kitten Lake, a full description of property on said deed; and,

WHEREAS, said street has been improved and meets the required specifications

for acceptance by the City; and,

WHEREAS, the Engineering Department has inspected said street and recommends

acceptance of same.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

That certain deed dated September 1, 2016, conveying Columbus, Georgia that

portion of Ruffie Way located in Kitten Lake Replat of Parcel 200B, Replat of

Parcel 200 Phase One Kitten Lake be and the same is hereby accepted. The Clerk

of Council is hereby authorized to have said deed recorded in the Deed Records

in the Office of the Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia. A copy of the

deed is hereto attached and by this reference made a part of this resolution.
