Approval is requested of a resolution designating Thursday, December 24, 2015

as the floating holiday for the Columbus Consolidated Government for the FY2016

II. MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING (MOU) - GEORGIA CLASSIC MAIN STREET

PROGRAM:



Authorization is requested to execute a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with

the Georgia Department of Community Affairs (DCA) to maintain Columbus' Local

Main Street designation by the National Main Street Center and appoint Uptown

Columbus to serve as the Local Main Street Program Board of Directors. An

III. GEORGIA DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AFFAIRS - OPPORTUNITY ZONE APPLICATION:



Authorization is requested to submit an application to the Georgia Department

of Community Affairs for establishment of an Opportunity Zone. An agenda

IV. QUIT CLAIM DEED - 3101 GENTIAN BOULEVARD:



Authorization is requested to execute a Quit Claim Deed for a portion of City

Right of Way to Schuster Enterprises, LLC (Burger King) at 3101 Gentian

Boulevard for construction of an additional drive thru order station. An

V. STREET ACCEPTANCE - THAT PORTION OF ESSEX HEIGHTS COURT LOCATED IN SECTION

FOUR, WOOLDRIDGE HEIGHTS:



Authorization is requested for the acceptance of a deed to that portion of

Essex Heights Court located in Section Four, Wooldridge Heights. The

Department of Engineering has inspected this street and recommends the

VI. CRIMINAL JUSTICE COORDINATING COUNCIL'S DISCRETIONARY GRANT - VETERANS

TREATMENT COURT:



Authorization is requested to accept a Criminal Justice Coordinating Council?s

Discretionary Grant award of $225,000 for funding the Muscogee County Veterans

Treatment Court. The grant amount is $225,000 with a required Match of $62,500,

which the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council is deducting from the total

award. This results in the Muscogee County Veterans Treatment Court receiving

$162,500 without the program or the City of Columbus being required to provide

VII. FIREHOUSE SUBS PUBLIC SAFETY FOUNDATION GRANT:



Authorization is requested to accept a grant in the amount of $13,762.73 or as

otherwise awarded from Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation to purchase a

BullEx Fire Extinguisher Training System and amend the Multi-Governmental Fund

Scope of RFB

The Columbus Consolidated Government wishes to purchase four (4) Inmate Vans

(Commercial Cutaway). The vehicles will be used by staff of the Rainwater

Division to transport inmates to and from job sites.

1. Preventive Maintenance Services for Pottery Kilns (Annual Contract)

? RFB No. 15-0021

Scope of RFB

Provide preventive maintenance and/or repair service for pottery kiln at

various locations. (See Attachment A for locations) The contract period will

be for one (1) year with the option to renew for four (4) additional

twelve-month periods.



2. Alternators & Starters (Annual Contract) ? RFB No. 15-0022

Scope of RFB

Provide alternators and starters to METRA Transit System and the City Fleet

Shop on an ?as needed? basis. The contract term will be for one (1) year with

the option to renew for four (4) additional twelve-month periods.
