AN ORDINANCE REGULATING VEHICULAR TRAFFIC IN COLUMBUS, GEORGIA BY DELETING FROM

THE ?OFFICIAL STREET MAP, CITY OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA? THE STREET SEGMENT AND

RIGHT-OF-WAY OF LYNCH ROAD FROM THE NORTH RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF MANCHESTER

EXPRESSWAY NORTH TO THE NORTH PROPERTY LINE OF 7716 LYNCH ROAD; PROVIDING THAT

ALL EXISTING UTILITY EASEMENTS OF RECORD REMAIN IN EFFECT AND PROVIDING

APPROPRIATE WIDTH AS REQUIRED BY THE APPLICABLE UTILITY COMPANIES WILL BE

RESERVED FOR UNKNOWN UTILITIES; AUTHORIZING THE DISPOSAL OF SAID PROPERTY IN

ACCORDANCE WITH THE COLUMBUS CHARTER; REPEALING ANY CONFLICTING ORDINANCES; AND

FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY ORDAINS:



SECTION I.



That the ?Official Street Map, City of Columbus, Georgia? is hereby

amended by deleting the following street segment and right-of-way:



Lynch Road: Beginning at the north right-of-way line of Manchester

Expressway and running north to the property line 7716 Lynch Road.



SECTION II.



That the street segment and right-of-way described herewith in Section

I is no longer needed for roadway purposes.



SECTION III.



That the street segment and right-of-way described herewith in Section

I is hereby declared surplus property for disposal in accordance with the City

Charter.



SECTION IV.



Providing that all existing utility easements of record remain in

effect and providing appropriate width as required by applicable utility

companies shall be reserved for unknown utilities.









SECTION V.



That the street segment and right-of-way described herewith in Section

I is hereby authorized for disposal in accordance with the Columbus Charter.



SECTION VI.



That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict with this

ordinance are hereby repealed.





Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia, held on

the _______ day of March, 2007; introduced a second time at a regular meeting

of said Council held on the _________day of March, 2007, and adopted at said

meeting by the affirmative vote of ______ members of said Council.
