WHEREAS, Mr. William S. White, former employee with the Columbus Police

Department, died on January 11, 2009;

WHEREAS, Mr. White retired on November 1, 1994 after serving over 27 years with

the Columbus Police Department.

NOW, THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:

We hereby convey to the family of Mr. White our sincere condolences and deepest

sympathy. Mr. White was an outstanding employee with the Columbus Police

Department and he will be missed by all who knew him.

WHEREAS, Mr. Arthur L. Johnson, former employee with the Columbus Public

Services Department, died on January 12, 2009;

WHEREAS, Mr. Johnson retired on December 1, 1998 after serving 19 years with

the Columbus Public Services Department.

NOW, THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:

We hereby convey to the family of Mr. Johnson our sincere condolences and

deepest sympathy. Mr. Johnson was an outstanding employee with the Columbus

Public Services Department and he will be missed by all who knew him.

WHEREAS, Mr. Paul J. Cooper, Jr., former employee with the Columbus Water

Works, died on February 4, 2009;

WHEREAS, Mr. Cooper retired on March 1, 1995 after serving 21 years with the

Columbus Water Works.

NOW, THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:

We hereby convey to the family of Mr. Cooper our sincere condolences and

deepest sympathy. Mr. Cooper was an outstanding employee with the Columbus

Department, died on February 15, 2009;

WHEREAS, Mr. Songer retired on September 1, 1986 after serving 37 years with

the Columbus Fire and EMS Department.

NOW, THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:

We hereby convey to the family of Mr. Songer our sincere condolences and
