I. 2016 PROPOSED LEGISLATIVE AGENDA ITEMS:
Approval is requested for the resolutions for the 2016 Legislative
Session of the Georgia General Assembly.
II. CONTRACT EXTENSION WITH COLUMBUS CONVENTION AND VISITORS BUREAU:
Approval is requested to extend the intergovernmental agreement between
the Columbus Consolidated Government and the Columbus Convention and Visitors
Bureau (CCVB) for an additional five year period. The extension of the
intergovernmental agreement meets the requirements of the hotel-motel tax law.
III. METRA - TRANSPORTATION INVESTMENT ACT BUDGET:
Approval is requested to adopt the METRA budget of $22.4 million as
mandated under the Transportation Investment Act (TIA) of 2012 which will fund
fixed route costs, dial-a-ride costs, staffing, fuel/maintenance, amenities,
and consultant fees.
IV. CORRECTION OF CONDEMNATION ON PARCEL #19 AND #20 FOR THE WYNNTON ROAD
MASTER PLAN:
Approval is requested for a corrective action to amend Resolution
238-15 to include the corrected estimated value of $15,204 for a temporary
easement for County Road and/or Municipal Street purposes and authorize the
filing of the corrected action for the Declaration of Taking. This project is
funded 80% by GDOT and 20% by Midtown Inc. The city will be responsible for
service and upkeep after completion of the project.
V. STREET ACCEPTANCE - CAMPARI STREET, PUNKIN STREET, THAT PORTION OF FRANK
HOUSER AVENUE, THAT PORTION OF DREAMBOAT DRIVE AND THAT PORTION OF MASSEE LANE
LOCATED IN SECTION TWO, OLD TOWN, A MIXED USE COMMUNITY:
Approval is requested for the acceptance of a deed to Campari Street,
Punkin Street, that portion of Frank Houser Avenue, that portion of Dreamboat
Drive and that portion of Massee Lane located in Section Two, Old Town, a mixed
use Community. The Engineering Department has inspected said streets and
recommends the acceptance. No city funds are involved until maintenance is
assumed after the two year warranty.

VI. STREET ACCEPTANCE - THAT PORTION OF SABLE OAKS DRIVE LOCATED IN SECTION
TWELVE, SABLE OAKS OF MIDLAND:
Approval is requested for the acceptance of a deed to that portion of
Sable Oaks Drive located in Section Twelve, Sable Oaks of Midland. The
Engineering Department has inspected said street and recommends the
acceptance. No city funds are involved until maintenance is assumed after the
two year warranty.
VII. STREET ACCEPTANCE - THAT PORTION OF TALL PINE COURT LOCATED IN SECTION
ELEVEN, GARRETT PINES:
Approval is requested for the acceptance of a deed to that portion of
Tall Pine Court located in Section Eleven, Garrett Pines. The Engineering
Department has inspected said street and recommends the acceptance. No city
funds are involved until maintenance is assumed after the two year warranty.
VIII. 2015 GEORGIA TRAUMA CARE NETWORK COMMISSION GRANT:
Approval is requested to accept a grant in the amount of $26,353.10
from Georgia Trauma Care Network Commission for the purchase of trauma
equipment. The equipment will be utilized to respond to trauma emergencies to
Columbus and the surrounding counties. This grant requires no matching funds.
IX. 2015 HOMELAND SECURITY GRANT PROGRAM:
Approval is requested to accept a grant of $40,000, or as otherwise
awarded, from the 2015 Homeland Security Grant Program and amend the
multi-governmental fund by like amount. The funds will be utilized for the
maintenance of equipment received as part of the West Central Georgia Search
and Rescue Team. This grant requires no matching funds.

Scope of Bid
Provide uniform dress shoes & boots on an ?as needed basis? to various
departments of Columbus Consolidated Government (the City). To accommodate
walk-in service on some occasions, successful bidder shall have a business
located within a 25-mile radius of Muscogee County. The contract term will be
for two years, with the option to renew for three additional twelve-month
periods.
2. Bibb Mill & City Mill Riverwalk Project ? RFB No. 16-0015
A Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference is scheduled for 1:30 PM on Wednesday,
October 14, 2015. Vendors shall convene in the office of the project
architect, Hecht Burdeshaw Architects, Inc., which is located at 8 West 11th
Street, Suite 300, Columbus, GA 31901.

1. Flooring for Civic Center ? RFB No. 16-0013
Scope of Bid
Provide all labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary for installation
of new flooring in the Oglethorpe, Chattahoochee, and Coweta Hospitality Rooms
located at the Columbus Civic Center, 400 4th Street, Columbus, GA. The
estimated size of the area is 5,000 square feet.
2. Air Walls for Civic Center ? RFB No. 16-0014
Scope of Bid
Provide all labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary for the
installation of new air walls in the hospitality room located at the Columbus
Civic Center, 400 4th Street, Columbus, GA.

1. Bibb Mill & City Mill Riverwalk Project ? RFB No. 16-0015
Scope of Bid
The project consists of the extension of the existing Riverwalk ? a section at
City Mill and a section at Bibb Mill. These facilities are linear parks
abutting the Chattahoochee River.
2. Recycling Trailers ? RFB No. 16-0009
Scope of Bid
The Columbus Consolidated Government wishes to purchase six (6) trailers for
the Recycle Center.
3. Pursuit Vehicles ? RFB No. 16-0016
Scope of Bid
The Columbus Consolidated Government wishes to purchase twenty-five (25)
pursuit vehicles. Twenty-four vehicles will be used by staff of the Columbus
Police Department. One (1) vehicle will be used by the Muscogee County Prison.
