MINUTES OF THE LAST MEETING: Minutes of the July 18, 2006 meeting of the

Council of the Consolidated Government of Columbus, Georgia.

CONSENT AGENDA



(1) 2NDRD Reading - An ordinance amending Section 19-23 of the Columbus Code

(Board of Tax Assessors) so as to provide for filling a vacancy on the Board

pursuant to O.C.G.A ?48-5-295; and for other purposes. (Councilor McDaniel)





(2) FREQUENCY RECONFIGURATION AGREEMENTS:



Authorization is requested to execute Frequency Reconfiguration Agreements with

Sprint Nextel for the purpose of swapping 800 Megahertz frequencies as mandated

by Federal Communication Commission. An agenda report and resolution are

attached.





(3) STREET ACCEPTANCE ? ANITETAM COURT, ANTIETAM DRIVE AND FREEDOM RIDGE DRIVE:



Authorization is requested to accept a deed to Anitetam Court, Antietam Drive

and Freedom Ridge Drive located in Section One, Lexington Hills. The Department

of Engineering has inspected these streets and recommends the acceptance. An

agenda report, map and resolution are attached.



There will be a pre council meeting Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. in the Council

Chambers Conference Room to discuss various issues.

(4) STREET ACCEPTANCE ? CROSSWINDS DRIVE:



Authorization is requested to accept a deed to Crosswinds Drive located in

Section Three, Crosswinds. The Department of Engineering has inspected this

street and recommends the acceptance. An agenda report, map and resolution are

attached.





(5) TEMPORARY STREET CLOSURE:



Application of Pauline Brown to temporarily close Playa Delray between

Meadowlark Drive and Califon Drive, on August 1, 2006, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00

p.m., in connection with the ?National Night Out Against Crime?.





(6) Letter from Mr. Brian Hercules resigning from his position on the Civic

Center Advisory Board.

Scope of PQ

The Parks and Recreation Department of Columbus Consolidated Government (the

City) is seeking quotes for three-hundred (300) 50 lb. bags of magnesium

chloride and two-hundred (200) 50 lb. bags of Har Tru Rubico surface. The

equipment will be used at Cooper Creek Tennis Center. The successful vendor

must use their forklift to stack the pallets in the storage room at the tennis

center.
