Authorization is requested for the naming of the Rails to Trails project

"Columbus Fall Line Trace". An agenda report and resolution are attached.

II. ADULT FELONY DRUG COURT GRANT:



Authorization is requested to submit an application and if approved accept

funds from the Judicial Council of Georgia Standing Committee on Accountability

Courts for the Muscogee County Adult Felony Drug Court for the amount of the

III. STREET ACCEPTANCE - THAT PORTION OF FOREST CROWN DRIVE AND THAT PORTION OF

FOREST CROWN LANE LOCATED IN SECTION NINE, PHASE ONE, IVY PARK:



Authorization is requested to accept a deed to that portion of Forest

Crown Drive and Forest Crown Lane located in Section Nine, Phase One, Ivy

Park. The Department of Engineering has inspected these streets and recommends

the acceptance. An agenda report, map and resolution are attached.

IV. ACCEPTANCE OF DEED - ADDITIONAL RIGHT-OF-WAY ADJACENT TO LEVY ROAD AT SOUTH

LUMPKIN ROAD:



Authorization is requested for the acceptance of a deed for

right-of-way adjacent to Levy Road at South Lumpkin Road, that portion of Part

of Land 9, 9th District 0.014. The Department of Engineering has inspected this

right-of-way and recommends the acceptance. An agenda report, map and

A Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference/Site Visit is scheduled at 10:00 AM (Eastern) on

Thursday, April 29, 2010 in the Conference Room of the Government Center Annex,

which is located at 420 Tenth Street ? Ground Floor, Columbus, Georgia 31901.

Vendors will be allowed a 10-minute grace period. Any vendor who is not

present in the Annex Conference Room within 10 minutes after the time slated

for the beginning of the mandatory pre-bid conference/site visit shall not be

allowed to participate any further in the bid process.



Written requests for approval of any materials submitted on this project as

"Equals or Substitutes" for the specified material must be submitted prior to

or at the mandatory pre-bid conference/site visit.

1. Retail Space for Park and Ride at the Warm Springs Road/Manchester

Expressway Locations (Annual Contract) ? RFP No. 10-0011

Scope of RFP

The Columbus Consolidated Government seeks a retail/service business to occupy

space within the new (Rails-to-Trails) Park and Ride locations. The building,

which will have the same footprint and layout, are currently being constructed

at Manchester Expressway and Warm Springs Road (See attached site plan).

Successful respondents will provide a service or combination of services that

meet the needs of the City and surrounding market area. While the City would

prefer that the retail services be oriented around trail uses. Suggested

retail services could include but are not limited to; bike rental and retail,

convenience store (no gas sales), newsstand or other similar service.

1. Security Surveillance Equipment for Department of

Transportation/METRA (Annual Contract) ? RFP No. 10-0024

A Mandatory Pre-Proposal Conference/Site Visit will be held at 10:00 a.m., on

Monday, May 3, 2010, for the purpose of discussing this RFP, at the Department

of Transportation/METRA Transit Station, 814 Linwood Blvd, Columbus, GA.

The work primarily involves clearing, grubbing, planting various landscaping

items, installation of irrigation as well as fountain plaza and construction of

monument and bridge fa?ade. Bidders must be Georgia Department of

Transportation pre-qualified contractors.

Scope of RFP

Provide inmate food service management for the Muscogee County Jail located at

700 10th Street, and Muscogee County Prison located at 7175 Sacerdote Lane.

Contract term shall be for two years with the option to renew for three

additional twelve-month periods. Contract renewals will be contingent upon the

mutual agreement of the City and the Contractor.

Scope of Bid

Provide one (1) Full Size Extended Length (EL) Body SUV 4x4 to be used by the

Engineering Department to inspect construction sites.

Scope of Bid

Provide playground mulch to the Columbus Parks and Recreation Services on an

?as needed? basis. The contract period will be for two years with the option

Provide new and replacement security surveillance equipment and maintenance for

Department of Transportation/METRA. Contract term shall be for two years with

1. Annex Building Exterior Waterproofing ? RFB No. 10-0057

Scope of Bid

Provide all labor, equipment and materials to waterproof approximately 14,000

sq. ft. of EIFS walls with new sealant and specified elastomeric coating.

Install approximately 575 linear feet of new gutters with 14 new downspouts.

Perform roof repairs to blisters and flashing on modified bitumen roof

membrane.



May 26, 2010

1. Lakebottom Park Walking Trail Improvements ? RFB No. 10-0043

Scope of Bid

Provide installation of park benches, trash receptacles, and concrete handicap

ramps. Additional work includes dumping, spreading and compacting M-10

screening material and replacing treated lumber used for trail edging.



All work shall be performed in accordance with the State of Georgia, Department

of Transportation ? Standard Specifications, Construction of Transportation

Systems, 2001 Edition or as Amended and in accordance with the contract

documents.
