O R D I N A N C E S:





(1) 2nd Reading ? An Ordinance renewing the Columbus, Georgia Business

Improvement Districts for a period of ten years; and for other purposes.

(Councilor Woodson) (As amended)



(2) 2nd Reading - Amending the length of terms of members

of Development

Authority of Columbus, Georgia and the Downtown Development Authority of

Columbus, Georgia to four years so as to be consistent with Georgia statutes;

and for other purposes. (Councilor McDaniel)



(3) 2nd Reading ? REZN-6-14-1261 - Properties located at 2126, 2200,

2206, 2210 and 2214 Buena Vista Road, are proposed for rezoning from NC

(Neighborhood Commercial) to GC (General Commercial) Zoning District. (District

3- Councilor Huff) The purpose of the rezoning is for general retail (Family

Dollar Store). The Planning Advisory Commission recommends approval and the

Planning Department recommends conditional approval. (As amended)



(4) 2nd Reading ? REZN-6-14-1302 - Property located at 1300 5th Avenue, is

proposed for rezoning from UPT (Uptown) to GC (General Commercial) Zoning

District. (District 7-Councilor Woodson) The purpose of the rezoning is for

auto/truck major repair and auto/truck sales (Conforming Uses). The Planning

Advisory Commission and the Planning Department recommend conditional approval.



(5) 2nd Reading - REZN-6-14-1330? Text amendments to the Unified Development

Ordinance (UDO) amending the setback requirement for monopole tower structures

in relation to residential structures. The Planning Advisory Commission and the

Planning Department recommend approval. (Councilor McDaniel) (As amended)



(6) 2nd Reading - An Ordinance authorizing ?working spouse?

eligibility for coverage in the Columbus Consolidated Government

Employee/Retiree Self Funded Medical Benefit Plan conditioned upon payment of a

monthly surcharge of $371.45; and for other purposes. (Councilor Davis)



(7) 2nd Reading ? An ordinance regulating vehicular traffic in Columbus,

Georgia by establishing a loading zone along the north curb of 10th Street

between Front Avenue and Bay Avenue; authorizing the installation of official

traffic control signs indicating a loading zone; repealing conflicting

ordinances; and for other purposes. (Councilor Woodson)



(8) 2nd Reading ? An ordinance regulating vehicular traffic in Columbus,

Georgia by establishing ranked parking along the north and south curbs of 11th

Street between 6th Avenue and 7th Avenue and a loading zone along the south

curb of the same block; authorizing the installation of official traffic

control signs indicating the ranked parking and loading zones; repealing

conflicting ordinances; and for other purposes. (Councilor Woodson)



(9) 1st Reading ? An ordinance amending ordinance 98-30, 00-106 and 01-29 for

the expansion of the existing Enterprise Zone, known also as the Columbus

Business Development Center. (Councilor McDaniel)









R E S O L U T I O N S:





(10) Special Exception Use (EXCEP-4-14-0876) for a Wireless

Telecommunication Facility (95? Monopine) at 6507 Moon Road. The current

zoning for the property is SFR1 (Single Family Residential 1) zoning district.

(District 2-Councilor Davis) The Planning Advisory Commission and the Planning

Department recommend conditional approval.





(11) A Special Exception Use (EXCP-6-14-1331) for a Place of Worship, 250 or

more seats at 6804, 6720 and 6714 Forrest Road; 6759 Mitchell Drive. The

current zoning for the property is SFR2 (Single Family Residential 2) zoning

district. (District 4 Councilor Pugh) The Planning Advisory recommends

approval and the Planning Department recommends conditional approval.
