SUBJECT: Street Acceptance - Green Meadows Court located in
Section Fifteen Sable Oaks of Midland
INITIATED BY: Engineering Department
Recommendation: Approval is reqeusted for the acceptance of Green Meadows
Court located in Section Fifteen Sable Oaks of Midland.
Background: Green Meadows Court located in Section Fifteen Sable Oaks of
Midland has Seventeen (17) residential lots. The street has been improved and
meets the required specifications for acceptance by the City.
Analysis: A deed has been conveyed to the City conveying Green Meadows Court
located in Section Fifteen Sable Oaks of Midland. A description of property is
as follows: All of that certain tract or parcel of land known and designated
as Green Meadows Court as said street is shown upon a map or plat of survey
entitled "Section Fifteen, Sable Oaks of Midland, Part of Land Lot 6, 18th
District, Columbus, Muscogee, County, Georgia" as prepared by Hobbs Smith &
Assoc., Inc., dated May 22, 2017, and recorded in Plat Book 165, Folio 163, in
the Office of the Clerk of Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia, to which
reference is made for exact location of said street.
Financial Considerations: No City funds are involved until maintenance is
assumed after the two-year warranty.
Projected Annual Fiscal Impact Statement: No City funds are involved until
maintenance is assumed after the two-year warranty.
Legal Considerations: In accordance with Section 18-3 of the Columbus Code,
all dedicated right-of-way must be accepted by Council.
Recommendations/Actions: Approval is reqeusted for the acceptance of Green
Meadows Court located in Section Fifteen Sable Oaks of Midland.
A RESOLUTION

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DEED TO GREEN MEADOWS COURT
LOCATED IN SECTION FIFTEEN, SABLE OAKS OF MIDLAND ON BEHALF OF COLUMBUS,
GEORGIA.
WHEREAS, Columbus, Georgia has been submitted a deed conveying Green Meadows
Court located in Section Fifteen, Sable Oaks of Midland, a full description of
property on said deed; and,
WHEREAS, said street has been improved and meets the required specifications
for acceptance by the City; and,
WHEREAS, the Engineering Department has inspected said street and recommends
acceptance of same.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That certain deed dated July 18, 2017 conveying to Columbus, Georgia Green
Meadows Court located in Section Fifteen, Sable Oaks of Midland be and the same
is hereby accepted. The Clerk of Council is hereby authorized to have said
deed recorded in the Deed Records in the Office of the Clerk of Superior Court
of Muscogee County, Georgia. A copy of deed is hereto attached and by this
reference made a part of this resolution.
