MINUTES
April 13, 2009

A meeting of the Board of Historic and Architectural Review was held on Monday,
April 13, 2009, at 3:30 p.m., 420 10th Street, Government Center Annex,
Conference Room.
Members Present:

I. CALL TO ORDER
Co-Chairman Sia Etemadi called the meeting to order at 3:41 p.m.
II. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Co-Chairman Sia Etemadi asked for a motion on the minutes for the March 9, 2009
meeting. Virginia Peebles made a motion to approve the minutes. John Sheftall
seconded the motion. Motion was carried unanimously.
III. REVIEW OF APPLICATIONS
NEW CASES:
HD 0904-01 ? 1516 17th Avenue: Mark King, Applicant. Request permission to
construct storage building in back yard. John Sheftall was asked to read staff
report as recommendations for the minutes. Eva Smith made a motion to approve
the report and was seconded by Virginia Peebles. After a brief discussion,
Reynolds Bickerstaff made a motion to approve the application with the
condition that soffitt along side of shed will match existing home and smooth
hardi-plank siding will be used, no grid work between glass on windows. Jeff
Reed seconded the motion. The motion was carried unanimously.
HD 0904-02 ? 433 2nd Avenue: Garry Curtin, Applicant. Request permission to
add shed roof over two back doors. John Sheftall read criteria on staff report
for case. After a brief discussion, Virginia Peebles made a motion to approve
the application as submitted. Reynolds Bickerstaff seconded the motion. The
motion was carried unanimously.
IV. OLD BUSINESS
John Sheftall made a motion on excused absences for March and was seconded by
Stacy Fahrenbruch. The motion was carried unanimously.
V. ADJOURNMENT
