AN ORDINANCE

An Ordinance providing a 120-day extension to the moratorium on filing
applications for billboard and multi-message signs so that said moratorium
shall expire at midnight on Friday July 23, 2010; and for other purposes.
THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION 1.
There is hereby enacted a 120-day extension to the current moratorium on filing
any new application for a permit to construct a billboard or multi-message
sign. With this 120-day extension, the moratorium will expire at midnight on
Friday July 23, 2010.
SECTION 2.
The purpose of this moratorium is to allow an amendment to the Uniform
Development Ordinance so that the current regulation concerning billboard or
multi-message signs will be continued.
SECTION 3.
All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance
are hereby repealed.
