Subject Drainage Concerns
Description Have the staff to look into some concerns he has with respect to
drainage on Englewood Drive where they have been installing some drainage
pipes. He said the problem is worst now; and there may be a problem with some
of the pipes being closed off because there is also standing water after it has
rained. Also, property located at 2414 Hunt Avenue where there is standing
water as well. He said we might need to get someone out there to take a look at
this problem. (Request of Councilor Barnes)

Response
1. Englewood Drive -- we found at the corner of Steam Mill and Englewood
Drive the water works has been doing work at this location. Safety barrels are
still in place indicating to us they haven't finished the job. We will notify
the water works that they need to lower the box they just replaced to allow the
water to drain off properly. We also found that a large vehicle, truck, also
ran off the road at this location and left large ruts in the earth causing
water to stand in the ruts.
2. 2414 Hunt Avenue. There was no water standing on this road. However, at
1424 Hunt Avenue we found dampness, but no water standing. We also noted that
the shoulder of the road is low and needs to be repaired. We will put in a
work order for Heavy Equipment to handle this repair.
