An Ordinance amending the Zoning Atlas of the Consolidated Government of

Columbus, Georgia; this amendment changes certain boundaries of a district

located at 1100 10th Avenue from LMI (Light Manufacturing Industrial) District

to GC (General Commercial) District.



THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY ORDAINS:



That the Zoning Atlas on file with the Planning Division of the

Department of Community and Economic Development be, and the same is hereby

amended by changing the following described property LMI (Light Manufacturing

Industrial) District to GC (General Commercial) District:



All that lot, tract or parcel of land situate, lying and being in the State of

Georgia, County of Muscogee and City of Columbus, and being known and

distinguished as PART OF LAND LOT 15 of the COWETA RESERVE of said County, and

being more particularly described as follows:



BEGINNING at an iron pin located at the intersection of the easterly margin of

Tenth Avenue and the northeasterly margin of Wynnton Road, and from said point

of beginning running thence North 03? 10' West and along the easterly margin of

Tenth Avenue, a distance of 437.52 feet to an iron; thence North 85? 44' 38"

East, a distance of 201.97 feet to a point; thence South 04? 10' East, a

distance of 22.90 feet to an iron; thence North 86? 56' 50" East and along the

North face of a party wall, a distance of 96.14 feet to an iron; thence South

03? 10' East and along the westerly margin of property owned by the City of

Columbus, a distance of 240.20 feet to a lead plug in concrete; thence North

86? 50' East and along the southerly margin of property owned by the City of

Columbus and the Housing Authority of Columbus, Georgia, a distance of29.55

feet to an iron; thence southwesterly, counterclockwise and along a curve

having a radius to the southeast of 422.085 feet, an arc distance of 108.50

feet to an iron located South 18? 53' West 108.20 feet from the last mentioned

iron; thence southerly, counterclockwise and along a curve having a radius to

the east of 245.53 feet, an arc distance of 95.35 feet to an iron located on

the northerly margin of Wynnton Road South 00? 23'41" West 94.75 feet from the

last mentioned iron; thence South 77? 19'35" West and along the northerly

margin of Wynnton Road, a distance of 58.95 feet to an iron; thence South 78?

56'41" West and along the northerly margin of Wynnton Road, a distance of

110.86 feet to an iron; thence westerly, clockwise and along the curved

northerly margin of Wynnton Road, said curve having a radius to the north of

121.00 feet, an arc distance of 96.09 feet to an iron located North 78? 20'

West 93.58 feet from the last mentioned iron; thence North 55? 35' West and

along the northeasterly margin of Wynnton Road, a distance of 29.14 feet to the

point of beginning.

24th day of February, 2009; introduced a second time at a regular meeting of

said Council held on the day of , 2009 and adopted at said

meeting by the affirmative vote of members of said Council.
