WHEREAS, effective January 21,2014, the Georgia General Assembly adopted a new
Juvenile Code to govern the appointment and compensation of full-time and
part-time Juvenile Court Judges with circuit-wide jurisdiction;
WHEREAS, the Columbus Finance Director has received the attached Superior Court
Order for appointment of new Juvenile Court Judge Joey M. Loudermilk and for
compensation of all three Chattahoochee Judicial Circuit Juvenile Court Judges;
WHEREAS, pursuant to O.C.G.A. Section 15-11-52, the Order from the Superior
Court must be approved by the governing authorities of the counties for which
the Juvenile Court Judge is appointed.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:
Pursuant to O.C.G.A. Section 15-11-52, this Council hereby approves the
attached Order from the Superior Court Judges of the Chattahoochee Judicial
Circuit appointing the new Juvenile Court Judge and setting compensation for
the three Juvenile Court Judges of the Chattahoochee Judicial Circuit. Let a
copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Chief Judge of the Muscogee County
Superior Court.

Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia held on the
22nd day of April, 2014, and adopted at said meeting by the affirmative vote of
