When we bring forth the resolution thanking those individuals who were
instrumental in assisting with the God Bless Ft. Benning event, let?s also
include
Uptown Business Association who helped sponsored the event, as well as the
Public Safety and Public Services Departments.
Also, let?s make sure we have someone from Ft. Benning to come so that we
can publicly thank them for the partnership that they create with this event,
as well
as for the extra efforts that are given to accommodate those persons who wish
to
learn more about the program out there at WINSIC. (Request of Councilor

Let?s have an engineer to come to the Council and talk to us about the
pipes;
where the pipes lay, as well as how the design could be fitted into this area;
and
provide a topographical map of the area. Also, ask Dr. Chastain to get back
with
his architects and engineers and look at this design again and come back with a
plan. (Request of Councilor Allen) Have the staff to contact the adjacent
property
owners and see what their recommendations would be with regard to this proposed
rezoning. (Request of Councilor Davis)

YOUTH ADVISORY COUNCIL:
When the marker is placed at the site of the new Skateboard Park in honor
and
memory of Jonathan Hatcher, let?s consider putting a plaque there as well,
showing
that Jonathan was the President of the Youth Advisory Council and this was a
project that he spearheaded with other youths. (Request of Councilor Woodson)
Our Youth Advisory Council does do many things for our community that
people don?t always see and some times things get into the newspapers what our
youths are involved in which is not always positive. If there is a way that we
could show these young peoples pictures in the newspaper and then talk about
some of the projects that they have achieved and how they have helped the
community behind the scenes and doing the kind of good work they are doing.
(Request of Councilor Anthony)
