CITY MANAGER'S AGENDA

I. METRA/TIA ROUTE CHANGES:



Approval is requested authorizing Metra to make changes to various

routes effective May 1, 2018. The route changes would reduce the number of

service hours on low performing routes, which would result in some cost savings

for the City and would help to extend the life of the TIA funding beyond year

2022.





II. ADULT FELONY DRUG COURT:



Approval is requested to submit an application, and if approved, accept

$331,826.00 or as otherwise awarded from the Criminal Justice Coordinating

Council for the operation of the Muscogee County Adult Felony Drug Court, from

July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019 and to amend the Multi-governmental Fund by

$331,826.00 or as otherwise awarded. The City is required to provide a 10%

cash matching funds ($36,870.00) to participate in this grant program. This

cash match is satisfied in the salary and benefits of a current case manager

who is paid for by the City ($38,000.00).





III. IMAGE TREND HOSTING:



Approval is requested to accept the transition of the Department of Fire and

Emergency Medical Services from city hosted to allowing Image Trend to host

incident report data for a cost of $19,800 approved through FY18 OLOST.

1. Repair and Refinishing of Countertop Workstations at Muscogee County Jail ?

RFB No. 18-0034

Scope of Bid

There are three (3) floors on the South Tower of the Muscogee County Jail with

a large countertop workstation on each floor. The successful contractor shall

provide all labor, equipment and materials to repair and refinish the three (3)

countertop workstations.



2. Bleachers for Cooper Creek Tennis Center ? RFB No. 18-0036

Scope of Bid

The Columbus Consolidated Government is seeking bids from qualified

vendors to provide aluminum

bleachers, to include installation on existing concrete bleachers, for

the Department of Parks and Recreation?s Cooper Creek Tennis Center.



3. Plotter Printer Services (Annual Contract) ? RFB No. 18-0035

Scope of Bid

Provide, repair and maintain one (1) Plotter on a rental basis, for the

Engineering Department located in the Government Center Annex. (HP Designjet or

equivalent)

Scope of RFP

The Columbus Consolidated Government of Columbus, Georgia (the City) is

seeking proposals from qualified vendors to provide and support an emergency

notification system.



March 21, 2018

1. Fire Sprinkler Service & Inspections (Annual Contract) ? RFB No. 18-0025

Scope of Bid

Provide fire sprinkler service and inspections for various facilities owned by

the City of Columbus. The contract term will be for two (2) years, with the

option to renew for three (3) additional twelve-month periods.



2. Hazmat Supplies & Equipment (Annual Contract) ? RFB No. 18-0041

Scope of Bid

Provide hazmat supplies and equipment to Columbus Consolidated Government,

Fire/EMS Department to be purchased on an ?as needed? basis. The contract term

will be for two (2) years, with the option to renew for three (3) additional

twelve-month periods.



3. Lawn Maintenance Equipment & Supplies (Annual Contract) ? RFB No. 18-0042

Scope of Bid

Provide edgers, line trimmers, mowers, back pack blowers, chain saws, pole

pruners, Hydraulic pole chain saw and supplies on an ?as needed? basis to

Columbus Consolidated Government (the City) to be utilized by various City

Departments. To accommodate walk-in service on some occasions, successful

bidder shall have a business located within in Muscogee County.



4. Basketball Officiating Services (Annual Contract) ? RFB No. 18-0038

Scope of Bid

Provide complete officiating services for Adult league basketball from November

thru March and June thru August, league basketball starting the first and

second weekend in March, Nightowl Basketball League from June thru August and

Columbus Youth Basketball from December thru March time frame at City

recreation centers.

1. Harley-Davidson ?Road King? Police Motorcycles ? RFB No. 18-0037

Scope of Bid

Provide six (6) trailers: four (4) 16-ft utility dual axle trailers for Park

Services, one (1) 20-ft backhoe trailer for Rainwater Division, and one (1)

tri-axle 50-ton detachable lowboy trailer for the Street Division. Vendors may

bid on one or all of the trailers.



2. Trailers ? RFB No. 18-0040

Scope of Bid

Provide three (3) Harley-Davidson ?Road King? police Motorcycles for the

Columbus Police Department.



April 4, 2018

1. Ft. Benning Road Roundabout ? RFB No. 18-0043

Scope of Bid

Option 1 is to construct the proposed roundabout at Ft. Benning Road, Brennan

Road, and Cusseta Road. Project includes storm water infrastructure

improvements, asphalt paving, sidewalks, and landscaping.



Option 2 includes the roundabout but also includes construction of the proposed

streetscapes along Ft. Benning Road from Wade Street to Shelby Street.

Streetscapes work includes new multi-use trail, storm water infrastructure,

asphalt paving, and landscaping.



The choice of which Option is selected shall be at the sole discretion of the

City and will be based on the funding available for this project. The City

reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive all technicalities

and informalities.
