(1) 2nd Reading - Property located at 1030 Illges Road and 1044 Rigdon Road is
proposed for rezoning from NC (Neighborhood Commercial) to RO (Residential
Office) zoning district. (Jerry Jackson, owner) (REZN- 10-12-3019) (District 1?
Councilor Barnes) The purpose of the rezoning is for multifamily apartments and
offices. The Planning Advisory Commission and the Planning Department recommend
conditional approval.
(2) 2nd Reading - Property located at 3071 Williams Road is proposed for
rezoning from RO (Residential Office) to PUD (Planned Unit Development) Zoning
District. (Cheyenne Partners, LLP, owner) (REZN-11-13-3412) (District 2?
Councilor Davis) The purpose of the rezoning is for multi-family dwellings
(individual rental units. The Planning Advisory Commission recommends approval
and the Planning Department recommends conditional approval.
(3) 2nd Reading - Property located at 2020 Fort Benning Road is proposed for
rezoning from NC (Neighborhood Commercial) to GC (General Commercial) Zoning

Huff) The purpose of the rezoning is for pet grooming, pet daycare and
boarding/barber shop. The Planning Advisory Commission and the Planning
Department recommend conditional approval.
(4) 2nd Reading - Property located at 2728 and 2730 Manchester Expressway; 4400
and 4408 Armour Road is proposed for rezoning from NC (Neighborhood Commercial)
to GC (General Commercial) Zoning District. (Lion Properties of Columbus, LLC.,
owner) (REZN-1-14-0129) (District 8?Councilor McDaniel) The purpose of the
rezoning is for general restaurants with drive-thru(s). The Planning Advisory
Commission and the Planning Department recommend conditional approval.
CITY MANAGER'S AGENDA
(1) UPTOWN COLUMBUS - MAIN STREET DESIGNATION:
Authorization is requested in support of UPtown Columbus, Inc.,
application to renew designation for UPtown Columbus as a Main Street Program
by the Georgia Department of Community Affairs' Office of Downtown
Development. An agenda report and resolution are attached.
