I. Call to order
Dr. Wise called the Columbus Board of Health to order at 1:00pm.

II. Approval of Minutes
Dr. Wise asked if there were any questions or comments on the previous minutes
received (February 25, 2015).
Dr. Wise asked for a motion to approve the minutes. A motion was made by Ms.
Cathright seconded by Dr. Lopez and approved by all members present.

III. District Health Director?s Report
Dr. Wise called on Dr. Townsend to give the Director?s Report;
1. Dr. Townsend thanked the Board for their service.
2. The Georgia Public Health Association meeting will be held on April 13 ? 14,
2015 in Atlanta.

IV. Financial Report
Dr. Wise called on Joanne Strickland to present the financial report to the
Board. Ms. Strickland presented the following;
1. Written copy of the financial report and overview for FY15 budget is
$5,281,396 with two revisions.
2. Expenses were $3,138,536 with an increase of $64,478 from same time last
year due to the incentive check given to staff in November.
3. Fees collected are $887,283 which is up from same time last year of
$34,046.
4. All other program grants are on target for 8 months of operation.

V. Excused Absences Dr. Wise stated there is two excused absences for the meeting, Dr.
Agarwal and Dr. Chhokar
Dr. Wise asked for motion for the excused absences of Dr. Agarwal and Dr.
Chhokar. A motion was made by Dr. Lopez seconded by Ms. Cathright and approved
by all members present. None
VI. Program Reports
Dr. Wise asked if there were any Program reports.
Brenda Forman, WIC Nutrition Manager
1. WIC on Wheels started last week, visited 4 neighborhoods; resulting in 11
new clients to WIC services
2. WIC on Wheels (WOW) will visit the same locations during the same times as
the Columbus Regional Mobile Unit.
Jack Lockwood, Deputy Public Information Officer;
1. Annual Rabies clinic will be held on April 21st at the Civic Center parking
lot. Animal control will also be on location. Rabies vaccination is $5.00 and
City Permit is $10.00 (price increase this year) There are 190 people pre-
registered.
