Councilor Davis,
Attached are some photos I took yesterday on I-85. One near Newnan, I'm sure
you've seen. Billboards on each side. The others are 5 new sites in less than
1/2 mile near the Hogansville exit. A couple of the posts that have been set
appear to be 250 feet out but with the new state allowance, they can cut 500
feet. Clear examples of the billboard companies exercising the new state law.
I'm very concerned about the amendment from 1000 feet down to 250. If they
purchase property 251 feet off, they can then clear 500 per the state. This may
be why they were so agreeable with the amendment. This is also an example of
what Councilor Davis is concerned about on I-185.
I know that there is no more public speaking regarding the overlay, but wanted
to present you these pictures. Each is worth a 1000 words or so they say.
Thanks, BB
