Performance Review Training - Timeline
We have established June 30, 2013 as the deadline to have all supervisors
trained on conducting performance reviews. We have conducted train-the-trainer
sessions for certain departments who will incorporate the training into their
annual in-service training. Another training session is scheduled April 23,
and make-up training sessions will be scheduled as needed prior to June 30th.
As of July 1, 2013, only supervisors who have completed performance review
training will be allowed to complete a performance review form for subordinate
employees. Attached is a listing of employees who have completed performance
review training.
Once an evaluator has been trained, retraining will not be necessary unless
there are significant changes to either the performance evaluation system,
procedures, legal environment or training materials. We anticipate that this
will happen about every five years. Retraining may also be appropriate when
evaluators are not adhering to current procedures.
