WHEREAS, Mr. Paul D. Thrower former employee with the Columbus Fire and EMS

Department, died on June 12, 2008;

WHEREAS, Mr. Thrower retired on November 1, 1996 after serving over 25 years

with the Columbus Fire and EMS Department.

NOW, THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:

We hereby convey to the family of Mr. Paul D. Thrower our sincere condolences

and deepest sympathy. Mr. Thrower was an outstanding employee with the

Columbus Fire and EMS Department and he will be missed by all who knew him.

WHEREAS, Mr. Lauris A. Jacks former employee with the Columbus Police

Department, died on June 27, 2008;

WHEREAS, Mr. Jacks retired on June 1, 1981 after serving over 20 years with the

Columbus Police Department.

NOW, THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:

We hereby convey to the family of Mr. Lauris A. Jacks our sincere condolences

and deepest sympathy. Mr. Jacks was an outstanding employee with the Columbus

Police Department and he will be missed by all who knew him.

Department, died on June 20, 2008;

WHEREAS, Mr. Haden retired on May 1, 2005 after serving over 27 years with the

Public Services Department.

NOW, THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:

We hereby convey to the family of Mr. William C. Haden our sincere condolences

and deepest sympathy. Mr. Haden was an outstanding employee with the Public

Services Department and he will be missed by all who knew him.

on June 28, 2008;

WHEREAS, Mr. Lee retired on July 1, 2007 after serving 17 years with the

Columbus Water Works.

NOW, THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:

We hereby convey to the family of Mr. Lee our sincere condolences and deepest

sympathy. Mr. Lee was an outstanding employee with the Columbus Water Works

and he will be missed by all who knew him.
