A RESOLUTION APPROVING A SPECIAL EXCEPTION USE TO OPERATE A PLACE OF WORSHIP ON
PROPERTY LESS THAN 2 ACRES BUT GREATER THAN 1 ACRE LOCATED AT 3702 BUENA VISTA
ROAD
WHEREAS, Pastor Loyd Johnson has appropriately applied for a Special Exception
Use to operate a Place of Worship on property less than 2 acres but greater
than 1 acre, on the property described above; and,
WHEREAS, a Place of Worship on property less than 2 acres but greater than 1
acre, is permitted solely as a Special Exception Use under the current GC
(General Commercial) zoning district; and,
WHEREAS, the Planning Department has reviewed the request and recommends
approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That all the criteria of Section 10.2.7.B have been met and that a
Special Exception Use for a Place of Worship on property less than 2 acres but
greater than 1 acre, be granted for the property at of 3702 Buena Vista Road.

Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia, held the
30th day of September, 2008, and adopted at said meeting by the affirmative
vote of members of said Council.
