O R D I N A N C E S:
(1) 2nd Reading ? An Ordinance amending the ?Official Street Map, City of
Columbus, Georgia,? by changing the official street name for the section of
public roadway currently designated as Gunboat Drive to Chastain Drive, to be
one street name consistent with the length of roadway; authorizing the
replacement of existing street name signs labeled as Gunboat Drive to Chastain
Drive. (Councilor Baker)
(2) 2nd Reading ? REZN-03-15-0503-Properties located at 3535 Macon Road
is proposed for rezoning from NC (Neighborhood Commercial) zoning district to
GC (General Commercial) zoning district. (District 5-Councilor Baker)
(Applicant Kennon, Parker Duncan & Davis)The proposed use is detached general
retail. The Planning Advisory Commission and the Planning Department recommend
approval.
(3) 2nd Reading - REZN-05-15-1119 ? Properties located at 1140, 1130, 1126,
1122 & 1100 Floyd Road as well as 4909, 4917 & 4915 Buena Vista Road is
proposed for rezoning from NC (Neighborhood Commercial), RMF2 ( Residential
Multi-Family 2) & SFR2 (Single Family Residential 2) zoning district to GC
(General Commercial) zoning district. (District 4-Councilor Pugh) (Applicant
Steven Howle) The proposed use is grocery store/market. The Planning Advisory
Commission recommends denial and the Planning Department recommends conditional
approval. (As amended)
(4) 1st Reading ? REZN-06-15-1291 ? Properties located at 1301 6th
Avenue is proposed for rezoning from LMI (Light Manufacturing Industrial)
zoning district to UPT (Uptown) zoning district. (District -Councilor )
(Applicant Ernie Smallman ) The proposed use is retail. The Planning Advisory
Commission and the Planning Department recommend approval.
(5) 1st Reading ? REZN-06-15-1315 ? Properties located at 4803 & 4811
13th Avenue is proposed for rezoning from SFR4 (Single Family Residential 4)
zoning district to RMF1 (Residential Multi-Family 1) zoning district. (District
8-Councilor Buck) (Applicant David Fox) The proposed use is duplex for seniors.
The Planning Advisory Commission and the Planning Department recommend
approval.
(6) 1st Reading ? REZN-04-15-0808 ? Properties located at 1120
Talbotton Road is proposed for rezoning from NC (Neighborhood Commercial)
zoning district to GC (General Commercial) zoning district. (District
7-Councilor Woodson) (Applicant The McDougal Co.) The proposed use is
convenience store with gas sales. The Planning Advisory Commission and the
Planning Department recommend approval.
(7) 1st Reading ? REZN-06-15-1292 ? Properties located at 5990 Warm
Springs Road is proposed for rezoning from NC (Neighborhood Commercial) zoning
district to GC (General Commercial) zoning district. (District 6-Councilor
Allen) (Applicant Ernie Smallman) The proposed use is medical office. The
Planning Advisory Commission and the Planning Department recommend approval.
(8) 1st Reading ? REZN-06-15-1279 ? Properties located south of and
adjacent to 5700 and 5710 Warm Springs Road is proposed for rezoning from NC
(Neighborhood Commercial) zoning district to SFR4 (Single Family Residential 4)
zoning district with a variance for 20 foot rear setback and 45% lot coverage.
(District 6-Councilor Allen) (Applicant Ben Billings) The proposed use is
Single Family Residential. The Planning Advisory Commission recommends approval
and the Planning Department recommends conditional approval.
(9) 1st Reading ? REZN-07-15-1458 ? Text amendment to the Unified
Development Ordinance (UDO) to add section 4.3.11(D) Bicycle Parking in Lieu of
Minimum Parking. The Planning Advisory Commission and the Planning Department
recommend approval.
(10) 1st Reading - An ordinance amending the Procurement Ordinance by adding a
new Part D to Article 5 to incorporate procurement requirements applicable to
construction projects using Federal Aid Highway Funding; and for other
purposes. (Councilor Baker)
