SUBJECT: Street Acceptance - Vineyard Lane Cul-de-sac located in Arbor
Pointe - AKA Baker Village

Recommendation: Approval is requested for the acceptance of a deed to Vineyard
Lane Cul-de-sac located in Arbor Pointe - AKA Baker Village.
Background: Vineyard Lane Cul-de-sac located in Arbor Pointe - AKA Baker
Village is located in a commercial development. The street has been improved
and has met the specifications for acceptance by the City.
Analysis: A deeds have been conveyed to the City conveying Vineyard Lane
Cul-de-sac located in Arbor Pointe. A description of the property is as
follows: All that tract or parcel of land shown and identified as Vineyard
Lane cul-de-sac on that plat entitled "Vineyard Lane Cul-De-Sac Right-of-Way
Dedication Plat" recorded in Plat Book 163, Page 219, Muscogee County records.
Financial Considerations: No City funds are involved until maintenance is
assumed after the two-year warranty.
Projected Annual Fiscal Impact Statement: No City funds are involved until
maintenance is assumed after the two-year warranty.
Legal Considerations: In Accordance with section 18-3 of the Columbus Code,
all dedicated right-of-way must be accepted by Council.
Recommendations/ Actions: Approve the acceptance of a deed to Vineyard Lane
Cul-de-sac located in Arbor Pointe - AKA Baker Village.
A RESOLUTION

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DEED TO VINEYARD LANE CUL-DE-SAC
LOCATED IN ARBOR POINTE - AKA BAKER VILLAGE ON BEHALF OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA.
WHEREAS, Columbus, Georgia has been submitted a deed conveying the Vineyard
Lane Cul-de-sac located in Arbor Pointe - AKA Baker Village, a full description
of property on said deeds; and,
WHEREAS, the street has been improved and meets the required specifications for
acceptance by the City; and,
WHEREAS, the Engineering Department inspected said street and recommends
acceptance of same.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That certain deeds (5) dated April 2013, conveying to Columbus, Georgia
the Vineyard Lane Cul-de-sac located in Arbor Pointe - AKA Baker Village, be
and the same is hereby accepted. The Clerk of Council is hereby authorized to
have said deeds recorded in the Deed Records in the Office of the Clerk of
Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia. A copy is hereto attached and by
this reference made a part of this resolution.
