WHEREAS, Mr. Melvin Thrower former employee with the Columbus Water Works, died

on March 14, 2008;

WHEREAS, Mr. Thrower retired on October 1, 1995 after serving 11 years with the

Columbus Water Works.

NOW, THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:

We hereby convey to the family of Mr. Melvin Thrower our sincere condolences

and deepest sympathy. Mr. Thrower was an outstanding employee with the

Columbus Water Works and he will be missed by all who knew him.

WHEREAS, Mr. Ronald E. Parker former employee with the Columbus Fire and EMS

Department, died on March 20, 2008;

WHEREAS, Mr. Parker retired on August 1, 1990 after serving over 31 years with

the Columbus Fire and EMS Department.

NOW, THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:

We hereby convey to the family of Mr. Ronald E. Parker our sincere condolences

and deepest sympathy. Mr. Parker was an outstanding employee with the Columbus

Fire and EMS Department and he will be missed by all who knew him.

WHEREAS, Mrs. Martha E. Gunnels former employee with the Columbus

Finance/Accounting Department, died on April 1, 2008;

WHEREAS, Mrs. Gunnels retired on March 1, 1987 after serving over 28 years with

the Columbus Finance/Accounting Department.

NOW, THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:

We hereby convey to the family of Mrs. Martha E. Gunnels our sincere

condolences and deepest sympathy. Mrs. Gunnels was an outstanding employee

with the Columbus Finance/Accounting Department and she will be missed by all

who knew her.

Airport, died on April 6, 2008;

WHEREAS, Mr. Fenical retired on September 1, 1990 after serving 16 years with

the Columbus Metropolitan Airport.

NOW, THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:

We hereby convey to the family of Mr. George W. Fenical our sincere condolences

and deepest sympathy. Mr. Fenical was an outstanding employee with the

Columbus Metropolitan Airport and he will be missed by all who knew him.
