Regularly Scheduled Meeting Minutes
December 16, 2014
A regularly scheduled meeting of the Community Development Advisory Council
(CDAC), was held at the Columbus Consolidated Government, Annex Building, in
the Annex Conference Room, 420 10th Street, on December 16, 2014.
Members Present: Adrian Chester, Jack Hayes, Kim Jenkins, Charles H. McDaniel,
Tremaine Reese, Carla Thomas
Members Absent: Clementine Cochran, Gloria Enfinger, Gladys J. Ford, Christy
Lemieux, Colin T. Martin, Zaki Shahid, Olive Vidal-Kendall
Also Present: David Arrington, Deborah Meadows, Denise McWhorter
CALL TO ORDER
Chairperson Jack Hayes called the meeting to order. There was not a quorum
present, so no official business was conducted.
Deputy City Manager David Arrington, spoke to the members present about funding
for the Greater Columbus Urban League for Fiscal Year 2015. Due to the fact
that they have had organizational changes prior to signing their Fiscal Year
2015 contract for funding, they have been asked to make a presentation today on
their organizations plans moving forward. Greater Columbus Urban League Board
Member Susan Cooper is the acting Director for the organization at this time.
The Community Development Advisory Council has the option to recommend they do
not receive funding for Fiscal Year 2015.
Two Board Members from the Greater Columbus Urban League made the presentation
to members present, the Deputy City Manager and Community Reinvestment Division
staff present.
The next meeting of the Community Development Advisory Council (CDAC), will be
a called meeting in January 2015. At the January 2015 meeting, the
organizations that have applied for Fiscal Year 2016 funding will be making
their presentations.
A meeting notice will be sent well in advance of the January 2015 called
meeting.
