5415 Veterans Parkway
Mr. Shaun Weinstock, Southeast Gold Buyers, was denied a sign permit at 5414
Veterans Parkway for what was identified as a sign walker or sign spinner.
This business already has a permissible ground sign and neither sign walker nor
sign spinner is allowed under Article 4. Sign Regulations of the Unified
Development Ordinance, Section 4.4.5. Prohibited Signs. L. "Signs not Otherwise
Identified. Any other sign not authorized as exempt from permitting or
otherwise specifically authorized by this Article is prohibited."
On September 1, 2010, at the Board of Zoning Appeals meeting, Mr. Weinstock
appealed the administrative denial. The Board denied the appeal, and upheld
the decision of the Building Official that a sign spinner is not a legal sign
or use under the ordinance.
