SUBJECT: Street Acceptance - Portion of Wisteria Lane Portion of North Ivy Park

Drive Located in Section Four, Phase One, North Ivy Park



INITIATED BY: Engineering





Recommendation: Approval is requested to accept that portion of Wisteria Lane

and that portion of North Ivy Park Drive located in Section Four, Phase One,

North Ivy Park.



Background: That portion of Wisteria Lane and that portion of North Ivy Park

Drive located in Section Four, Phase One, North Ivy Park has forty-one (41)

residential lots. The streets have been improved and meet the required

specifications for acceptance by the City.



Analysis: A deed has been conveyed to the City conveying that portion of

Wisteria Lane and that portion of North Ivy Park Drive located in Section Four,

Phase One, North Ivy Park. A description of the property is as follows: Those

certain tracts or parcels of land designated as: a portion of Wisteria Lane and

North Ivy Drive, all shown upon a map or plat of survey entitled "Section Four,

Phase One, North Ivy Park, Part of Land Lot 232, 19th District, Columbus,

Georgia," as prepared by Hobbs Smith & Assoc., Inc., dated April 5, 2017, and

recorded in Plat Book 165, Page 144, in the Office of the Clerk of Superior

Court of Muscogee County, Georgia.



Financial Considerations: No City funds are involved until maintenance is

assumed after the two-year warranty.



Projected Annual Fiscal Impact Statement: No City funds are involved until

maintenance is assumed after the two-year warranty



Legal Considerations: In accordance with Section 18-3 of the Columbus Code, all

dedicated right-of-way must be accepted by Council.



Recommendation /Actions: Approval is requested to accept that portion of

Wisteria Lane and that portion of North Ivy Park Drive located in Section Four,

Phase One, North Ivy Park.













A RESOLUTION

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO APPROVE AND ACCEPT A DEED TO THAT

PORTION OF WISTERIA LANE AND THAT PORTION OF NORTH IVY PARK DRIVE LOCATED IN

SECTION FOUR, PHASE ONE, NORTH IVY PARK ON BEHALF OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA



WHEREAS, Columbus, Georgia has been submitted a deed conveying that

portion of Wisteria Lane and that portion of North Ivy Park Drive located in

Section Four, Phase One, North Ivy Park, a full description of property on said

deed; and



WHEREAS, said streets have been improved and meet the required

specifications for acceptance by the City; and,



WHEREAS, the Engineering Department has inspected said streets and recommends

acceptance of same.



NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS

FOLLOWS:



That certain deed dated June 13, 2017, conveying to Columbus, Georgia

that portion of Wisteria Lane and that portion of North Ivy Park Drive located

in Section Four, Phase One, North Ivy Park be and the same is hereby accepted.

The Clerk of Council is hereby authorized to have said deed recorded in the

Deed Records in the Office of the Clerk of Superior Court of Muscogee County,

Georgia. A copy of deed is hereto attached and by this reference made a part of

this resolution.
