O R D I N A N C E S:



(1) 2nd Reading - Property located at 7533 Veterans Parkway, is proposed for

rezoning from LMI (Light Manufacturing Industrial) to GC (General Commercial)

zoning district. (16-CA-12-Beck/Calhoun) (Councilor McDaniel) The proposed use

is for general retail (bargain center. The Planning Advisory Commission and the

Planning Department recommend conditional approval.



(2) 2nd Reading - Property located at 1858 and 1866 Midtown Drive, is proposed

for rezoning from NC (Neighborhood Commercial) to GC (General Commercial)

zoning district. (17-CA-12-Midtown Association/Waddell) (Councilor McDaniel)

The proposed use is for a church, a construction trade office and a vacant lot.

The Planning Advisory Commission and the Planning Department recommend

conditional approval.



(3) 2nd Reading - Property located at 622 24th Street, is proposed for rezoning

from RMF2 (Residential Multifamily 2) to GC (General Commercial) zoning

district. (14-A-12-Garrard Development Services, LLC and George Mize, Jr.)

(Councilor McDaniel) The proposed use is for general retail. The Planning

Advisory Commission and the Planning Department recommends approval. (Request

by Petitioner for delay until May 14, 2013)



(4) 1st Reading - Property located at 7607 Veterans Parkway, is proposed for

rezoning from LMI (Light Manufacturing Industrial) to GC (General Commercial)

zoning district. (15-CA-12-Neville/Flournoy) (Councilor McDaniel) The proposed

use is for general retail store, thrift mall, and event center/banquet

facility. The Planning Advisory Commission and the Planning Department

recommend conditional approval.



(5) 1st Reading - Property located at 5601, 5625, 5629, 5639, and 5647 Forrest

Road & 2424 Woodruff Farm Road from NC (Neighborhood Commercial) for 5601

Forrest Road and 2424 Woodruff Farm Road to GC; and from SFR3 (Single Family

Residential 3) for 5625, 5629, 5639, and 5647 Forrest Road Zoning District to

GC (General Commercial) Zoning District. (18-CA-12-Milligan/Gibson) (Councilor

McDaniel) The proposed use is for general retail. The Planning Advisory

Commission and the Planning Department recommend conditional approval.



(6) 1st Reading - Property located at 7855 & 7865 Cooper Creek Road, 7590 &

7400 Moon Road, and landlocked property east of 7400 Moon Road, are proposed

for rezoning from SFR1 (Single Family Residential 1) for 7400 Moon Road/RMF2

(Residential Multifamily 2) with conditions for 7855 & 7865 Cooper Creek Road,

7590 Moon Road, and landlocked property east of 7400 Moon Road to RMF2

(Residential Multifamily 2) Zoning District with conditions for 7855 & 7865

Cooper Creek Road, 7590 Moon Road, landlocked property east of 7400 Moon Road,

and partially for 7400 Moon Road/GC (General Commercial) Zoning District with

conditions partially for 7400 Moon Road. (19-CA-12-CSG Properties,

Inc./McKenna) (Councilor McDaniel) The purpose of the rezoning is to build

multifamily apartments and commercial uses. The Planning Advisory Commission

and the Planning Department recommend conditional approval.



(7) 1st Reading - Property located at 5635 and 5653 Billings Road, is proposed

for rezoning from SFR1 (Single Family Residential 1)/SFR3 (Single Family

Residential 3) with conditions to SFR2 (Single Family Residential 2) zoning

district. (Councilor McDaniel) The purpose of the rezoning is to build single

family homes. The Planning Advisory Commission and the Planning Department

recommend conditional approval.



(8) 1st Reading - An ordinance adopting Human Resources Policy Number 220-303,

Part-Time Employment Work Hours Policy. (Councilor McDaniel)





(9) 1st Reading ? An ordinance regulating vehicular traffic in Columbus,

Georgia by establishing a No Parking Anytime Zone from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm on

school days along the west curb of Wildwood Avenue, beginning at a point

forty-six (46) feet north of the north curb of Young Street and running south a

distance of two hundred six (206) feet to the north curb of Sonora Street;

authorizing the installation of official traffic control signs indicating a No

Parking Anytime Zone; repealing conflicting ordinances; and for other purposes.

R E S O L U T I O N S:





(10) A Resolution authorizing the Tax Commissioner to enter into a

contract with Envision Payment Solutions to provide assistance in collecting on

returned checks. (Request of Tax Commissioner)
