AN ORDINANCE

AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE VEHICULAR TRAFFIC IN COLUMBUS, GEORGIA BY
ESTABLISHING A NO PARKING ZONE ALONG THE STREET SEGMENT DESIGNATED HEREWITH IN,
SAID STREET BEING WITHIN THE CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT; AUTHORIZING THE
INSTALLATION OF OFFICIAL TRAFFIC CONTROL SIGNS INDICATING SAID RESTRICTIONS;
REPEALING CONFLICTING ORDINANCES AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I.
That it shall be unlawful for any person to park or rank a vehicle for
at any time along any portion of the following described street segment by
establishing No Parking Anytime Zone:
1st Avenue: beginning at a point where the south curb line of 9th Street
intersects with the east curb line of 1st Avenue and running south along the
east curb line of 1st Avenue a distance of 160 feet.
SECTION II
That the traffic control signs indicating said parking limits shall be
installed for the roadway segment described herewith in Section I.
SECTION III
That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict withy this
ordinance are hereby repealed.
Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia
held on the _______ day of ________, 2006; introduced a second time at a
regular meeting of said Council held on the ____ day of ____, 2006 and adopted
at said meeting by the affirmative vote of _____ members of Council.
