An Ordinance amending the Zoning Atlas of the Consolidated Government of

Columbus, Georgia; this amendment changes certain boundaries of a district

located at 3305 Barrington Drive from SFR3 (Single Family Residential 3)

District to RO (Residential-Office) District.



THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY ORDAINS:



That the Zoning Atlas on file with the Planning Division of the Department

of Community and Economic Development be, and the same is hereby amended by

changing the following described property from SFR3 (Single Family Residential

3) District to RO (Residential-Office) District:



All that tract and parcel of land situate, lying and being in the State of

Georgia, County of Muscogee, and City of Columbus, and being PART OF LAND LOT

NUMBERED 52 of the EIGHTH LAND DISTRICT of said County, being apportion of the

property in the area known as LONESOMEHURST, and also sometimes being referred

to as PART OF THE BARRINGTON TRACT, and being located within the following

metes and bounds, to-wit:



BEGINNING at an iron pin located on the northwestern line of Barrington Drive a

distance of 184.90 feet northeasterly, as measured along the said northwestern

line of Barrington Drive, from an iron pin located at the corner formed by the

intersection of the northwestern line of the Barrington Drive with the

northeastern line of Spring Circle, which iron pin is also the easternmost

corner of that parcel of land conveyed to Jerry Goldsmith by The National Bank

and Trust Company of Columbus, Georgia, as Executor of the Last Will and

testament of George Smith Whatley, deceased, dated April 3, 1984, and recorded

in Deed Book 2305, Page 189 et. seq., in the Office of the Clerk of the

Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia, and from said iron pin which marks

the Beginning, running thence North 42 degrees 21 minutes 49 seconds East along

the northwestern line of Barrington Drive, a distance of 55.0 feet to an iron

pin, which iron pin is located at the southernmost corner of that tract

described as ?Parcel Two? in that certain deed from The National Bank and Trust

Company of Columbus, Georgia, as Executor of the Last Will and testament of

George Smith Whatley, deceased, to Whatley-Goldsmith Orthopedic Clinic, P.C.,

dated January 31, 1984, and recorded in Deed Book 2285, Page 105 et. seq., in

the Office of the aforementioned Clerk; thence running North 46 degrees 04

minutes 33 seconds West a distance of 108.05 feet to an iron pin; thence

running South 45 degrees 26 minutes 51 seconds West a distance of 55.0 feet to

an iron pin; and thence running South 46 degrees 04 minutes 33 seconds East a

distance of 111.01 feet to the iron pin which marks the POINT OF BEGINNING.

Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia

held on the 17th day of October, 2006; introduced a second time at a regular

meeting of said Council held on the day of , 2006

and adopted at said meeting by the affirmative vote of members of said

Council.
