? Sec. 20-14.6. - Near fire plugs, in driveways; time in streets; loading areas.
(a)
Fire hydrants. It shall be unlawful for the operator of a vehicle to park, rank
or stop such vehicle within ten feet of a fire hydrant.
(b)
Loading zones. It shall be unlawful for the operator of a vehicle to park, rank
or stop such vehicle within an official loading zone unless such person(s) is
duly loading or unloading passengers or cargo and in no event shall any vehicle
be parked, ranked or stopped in such loading zones for continuous period of
time more than 15 minutes.
(c)
Driveways. It shall be unlawful for the operator of a vehicle to park, rank or
stop a vehicle in a public or private street so as to obstruct free passage to
or from a public or private driveway; or to park, rank or stop such vehicle in
a public driveway within street right-of-way so as to obstruct free passage.
(d)
Time in streets. It shall be unlawful for the operator of a vehicle to park or
rank a vehicle in a public street for a continuous period of more than 12
hours.
(e)
Penalties. Persons convicted of violating paragraph (a) of this section shall
be fined $100.00 for each offense. Persons convicted of violating paragraphs
(b), (c) and (d) of this section shall be fined $20.00 for each offense. The
penalties for persons convicted of violating paragraphs (b), (c) and (d) shall
be the same as established by section 20-16.11.
