SUBJECT: Street Acceptance - that portion of Pine Ridge Drive
located in Section Seven, Turtle Creek
INITIATED BY: Engineering Department
Recommendation: Approval is requested for the acceptance of a deed to that
portion of Pine Ridge Drive located in Section Seven, Turtle Creek.
Background: That portion of Pine Ridge Drive located in Section Seven, Turtle
Creek has Nine (9) residential lots. The street has been improved and meets the
specifications for acceptance by the City.
Analysis: A deed has been conveyed to the City conveying that portion of Pine
Ridge Drive located in Section Seven, Turtle Creek. A description is as
follows: All those tracts and parcels of land situate, lying and being in the
State of Georgia, County of Muscogee and City of Columbus, in Lands Lots 1 and
2, 9th District, Muscogee County, Georgia identified as "Pine Ridge Drive" on
the Plat titled "Section Seven Turtle Creek lying in Land Lots 1 & 2, 9th
District, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia dated December 2, 2015" by Moon,
Meeks Mason & Vinson, Inc. recorded in Plat Book 164, Page 335, Muscogee
County, Georgia Records.
Financial Considerations: No City funds are involved until maintenance is
assumed after the two-year warranty.
Projected Annual Fiscal Impact Statement: No City funds are involved until
maintenance is assumed after the two-year warranty.
Legal Considerations: In Accordance with Section 18-3 of the Columbus Code, all
dedicated right of way must be accepted by Council.
Recommendations/ Actions: Approve acceptance of a deed to That portion of Pine
Ridge Drive located in Section Seven, Turtle Creek
A RESOLUTION
NO. _____
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF THAT PORTION OF PINE RIDGE DRIVE
LOCATED IN SECTION SEVEN, TURTLE CREEK ON BEHALF OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA.
WHEREAS, Columbus, Georgia has been submitted a deed conveying that portion of
Pine Ridge Drive located in Section Seven, Turtle Creek, a full description of
property on said deed; and,
WHEREAS, said street has been improved and meets the required specifications
for acceptance of same; and,
WHEREAS, the Engineering Department inspected said street and recommends
acceptance of same.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That certain deed dated January 29, 2016, conveying to Columbus,
Georgia, that portion of Pine Ridge Drive located in Section Seven, Turtle
Creek, and the same is hereby accepted. The Clerk of Council is hereby
authorized to have said deed recorded in the Deed Records in the Office of the
Clerk of Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia. A copy is hereto attached
and by this reference made a part of this resolution.
