Subject Rezoning Request

Description Have the staff to research and find out the reasons why Masterbuilt

would not build on this property, because there was an indication that this

Response 02/17/06 - Staff has reviewed its files pertaining to this property

and has found no evidence that the property contains any contaminates.

Environmentals were done by the City in 1995 and 1996 which reported no

environmental problems. Likewise, the zoning applicant has hired Building and

Earth Sciences, Inc,. to perform their own environmental, which also did not

show any environmental problems. According to a June 12, 2002 newspaper

article, Masterbuilt did not want to expand on this site due to soil compaction

problems for their particular use. The Building and Earth Sciences report

states that compaction for a church building can be accommodated on this site.
