AN ORDINANCE REGULATING VEHICULAR TRAFFIC IN COLUMBUS, GEORGIA BY DELETING FROM
THE ?OFFICIAL STREET MAP, CITY OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA? THE STREET SEGMENT AND
RIGHT-OF-WAY OF 36TH STREET BEGINNING AT THE EAST RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF VETERANS
PARKWAY AND RUNNING EAST TO THE WEST RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF HAMILTON ROAD.
THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I.
The ?Official Street Map, City of Columbus, Georgia? is hereby amended as
follows: The street segment and right-of-way of 36th Street beginning at the
east right-of-way line of Veterans Parkway and running east to the west
right-of-way line of Hamilton Road, is hereby deleted from the Official Street
Map of Columbus Georgia.
SECTION II.
The street segment and right-of-way described in Section I are hereby declared
surplus property for disposal in accordance with the Columbus Code and no
longer needed for roadway purposes.
SECTION III.
Providing that all existing utility easements of record remain in effect and
providing appropriate width as required by applicable utility companies shall
be reserved for unknown utilities.
SECTION IV.
All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance are
hereby repealed.
Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia held on the
____ day of ____, 2006; introduced a second time at a regular meeting of said
Council held on the ____ day of ____, 2006 and adopted at said meeting by the
