A RESOLUTION

No.



WHEREAS, Columbus High School wrestler Ian Walker recently won the State Class

AAA 285-pound championship held at the Gwinnett Center;



WHEREAS, Walker blasted through the first three rounds of the tournament,

beating Kendrick?s Corie Wilson with a 2-1 decision in the semifinals;



WHEREAS, he then defeated Shaw?s Greggory Goosby for the state title with a 3-2

decision;



WHEREAS, Walker finished the season 36-4 record and his only loses came against

the Class AAAA State Champion from Upson-Lee, Logan Winkles;



WHEREAS, the accomplishments of Columbus High School wrestler Ian Walker are

worthy of special recognition by this Council.



NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:



We hereby commend and congratulate Columbus High School wrestler Ian Walker

upon his win in the State Class AAA Wrestling Championship held at Gwinnett

Center. Columbus is proud of Ian?s achievements and we wish him every success

in the future. Let a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Ian Walker.
