An Ordinance amending the Zoning Atlas of the Consolidated Government
of Columbus, Georgia; this amendment changes certain boundaries of a district
located at 8186 Veterans Parkway (parcel # 079-007-003) from RO (Residential
Office) Zoning District to GC (General Commercial) Zoning District.
THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY ORDAINS:
That the Zoning Atlas on file with the Planning Department is hereby
amended by changing the aforementioned property from SFR1 (Single Family
Residential 1) Zoning District to GC (General Commercial) Zoning District:
Parcel One:
Beginning at an iron pin located at the intersection of the southerly right of
way of Veterans Parkway (a.k.a. U.S. Highway 27) with the westerly right of way
of Cooper Creek Road and running thence with the westerly right of way of
Cooper Creek Road South 47 degrees 55 minutes 25 seconds East, a distance of
33.91 feet to an iron pin; thence running South 12 degrees 25 minutes 40
seconds East, a distance of 57.20 feet to an iron pin; thence running North 77
degrees 59 minutes 57 seconds East, a distance of 6.71 feet to an iron pipe;
thence running South 12 degrees 00 minutes 37 seconds East, a distance of
200.06 feet to an iron pipe; thence leaving said right of way and running South
78 degrees 03 minutes 22 seconds West, a distance of 236.34 feet to an iron
pin; thence running South 04 degrees 36 minutes 13 seconds East, a distance of
55.83 feet to an iron pipe; thence running South 75 degrees 10 minutes 33
seconds West, a distance of 229.61 feet to an iron pin; thence running North 14
degrees 49 minutes 57 seconds West, a distance of 80.90 feet to an iron pipe;
thence running North 28 degrees 51 minutes 37 seconds West, a distance of
204.87 feet to an iron pipe in the southerly right of way of Veterans Parkway;
thence running with the southerly right of way of Veterans Parkway along the
arc of a curve to the right, said arc having a radius of 1424.00 feet, a chord
bearing of North 68 degrees 34 minutes 51 seconds East, a chord distance of
452.91 feet, and an arc distance of 454.84 to an iron pin; thence running North
77 degrees 51 minutes 13 seconds East, a distance of 16.89 feet to an iron pin;
thence running South 15 degrees 12 minutes 10 seconds East, a distance of 13.24
feet to an iron pin; thence running North 75 degrees 00 minutes 12 seconds
East, a distance of 16.38 feet to an iron pin; thence running North 14 degrees
52 minutes 47 seconds West, a distance of 12.42 feet to an iron pin; thence
running North 77 degrees 50 minutes 08 seconds East, a distance of 29.03 feet
to an iron pin at the point of beginning. Said tract containing 3.40 acres.
Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia held on the
28th day of March, 2017; introduced a second time at a regular meeting of said
Council held on the day of , 2017 and
adopted at said meeting by the affirmative vote of members of said
Council.
