Board Meeting Minutes
March 4, 2015
10:00 a.m.
A meeting of the Land Bank Authority Board was held on March 4, 2015, in the
Conference Room at the Land Bank Authority?s office located at 18 Eleventh
Street, Columbus, Georgia.
Members Present: Justin Krieg Brad Dodds Patrick Coleman
Lance Hemmings Steve Anthony
Members Excused: Carson Cummings Anne Hanna Merritt
Also Present: Rhonda Walters (Staff)
Call to Order/Establish a Quorum
Board Chair Lance Hemmings called the meeting to order. A quorum was present.
Approval of Minutes
A motion to approve the minutes from the Board meeting on January 7, 2015, was
made by Brad Dodds. The motion was seconded by Steve Anthony. The motion passed.
Operational Items
Financial Update
Approximately $45,700 remains in the account. Proceeds from the sale of 2910
Bradley Circle were deposited and an invoice for management fees was paid. No
other transactions occurred.
Revenue Sources
NSP Program Income - The possibility of receiving some of these funds from the
City was discussed. Justin Krieg agreed to talk with David Arrington to obtain
further information.
Tax Commissioner?s Office ? Justin Krieg shared his success in obtaining
information regarding property tax delinquencies. He is working with someone at
the City to map those properties. He also will continue conversations regarding
the accuracy of the information provided.
Incumbency Certificate ? Brad Dodds continues to work on this.
Old/New Business
Property
o 2235 Cornell Avenue
No change in status. Adjacent landowners have not responded.
o 2910 Bradley Circle
Sold to Historic Columbus. Proceeds deposited.
o 1016 51st Street
No progress regarding potential donation. Follow-up needed.
o 2406 Winchester
Potential In Rem Foreclosure candidate. Additional information will be
available next month.
REO List
Discussion regarding how to best utilize this information tabled until next
month when Anne Hanna Merritt is available.
Election of Officers
Discussion regarding the election of other new officers will occur at the next
meeting.
Next Meeting
The next Land Bank Authority Board Meeting will be on Wednesday, April 1st,
2015.
