A RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, the Unified Development Ordinance (UDO), Wireless Communications,
Section 3.2.72(K)(1)(A), currently contains a setback requirement providing as
follows:
?(A) A tower structure shall not be placed within 300 feet of a residential
structure?;
WHEREAS, this Council desires to change this distance restriction to the height
of the tower instead of 300 feet.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
We hereby direct the Planning Department to initiate a text change to
Section 3.2.72(K)(1)(A) in the Unified Development Ordinance so as to amend the
distance restriction from 300 feet to distance restriction equal to height of a
wireless communication tower between towers and residential structures.
