SUBJECT: Street Acceptance - Cypress Ridge Drive located in Cypress
Ridge Subdivision
INITIATED BY: Engineering
Recommendation: Approval is requested for the acceptance of a deed to Cypress
Ridge Drive located in Cypress Ridge Subdivision.
Background: Cypress Ridge Drive located in Cypress Ridge Subdivision has
Eighteen (18) residential lots. The street has been improved and has met the
specifications for acceptance by the City.
Analysis: A deed has been conveyed to the City conveying Cypress Ridge Drive
located in Cypress Ridge Subdivision. A description of the property is as
follows: All that lot, tract and parcel of land situate, lying and being in
Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia and being known and designated as "Cypress
Ridge Drive" as said parcel is shown upon a map or plat entitled "Cypress
Ridge", dated February 3, 2013, made by Moon, Meeks, Mason & Vinson, Inc.,
civil engineers.
Financial Considerations: No City funds are involved until maintenance is
assumed after the two-year warranty.
Projected Annual Fiscal Impact Statement: No City funds are involved until
maintenance is assumed after the two-year warranty.
Legal Considerations: In Accordance with Section 18-3 of the Columbus Code,
all dedicated right-of-way must be accepted by Council.
Recommendations/ Actions: Cypress Ridge Drive located in Cypress Ridge
Subdivision.
A RESOLUTION

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DEED TO CYPRESS RIDGE DRIVE
LOCATED IN CYPRESS RIDGE SUBDIVISION ON BEHALF OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA.
WHEREAS, Columbus, Georgia has been submitted a deed conveying Cypress Ridge
Drive located in Cypress Ridge Subdivision, a full description of property on
said deed; and,
WHEREAS, said street has been improved and meets the required specifications
for acceptance by the City; and,
WHEREAS, the Engineering Department inspected said street and recommends
acceptance of same.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That certain deed dated March 1, 2013, conveying to Columbus, Georgia,
Cypress Ridge Drive located in Cypress Ridge Subdivision, be and the same is
hereby accepted. The Clerk of Council is hereby authorized to have said deed
recorded in the Deed Records in the Office of the Clerk of Superior Court of
Muscogee County, Georgia. A copy of deed is hereto attached and by this
reference made a part of this resolution.
