(SPECIAL CALLED MEETING)
The Columbus, Georgia, Board of Tax Assessors met Thursday June 2 2011 at
9:00AM with Chairman Lawton Grantham, Assessor Pat Hunter, Assessor Derrick
Shields and Assessor Scott Boyce present. Also present was Chief Appraiser
Betty J. Middleton. Assessor Ann Grantham was absent
Met with Com Div Mgr Linda King, reviewed and approved the following:
Transfers/Reval: 27
Condo Reval: 1
The Board approved a summary report for updated and corrected values concerning
permits, revaluation, moratorium and sales for 2011.
Met with Pers Prop Mgr Oliver Juhan to discuss pending litigation. After
reviewing all documentation Assessor Derrick Shields made the motion to appeal
the BOE value for account # L1262901 to Superior Court; Assessor Scott Boyce
seconded the motion; motion carried.
Met with Res Div Mgr Bob O?Brien to discuss pending litigation.
Chief Appraiser Betty Middleton apprised the Board of correspondence received
from the City Attorney, which was forwarded to him by Mayor Tomlinson.
The Board approved Part A - Preliminary Certification for Historic Preservation
for PID 185 042 001 and Part B ? Final Certification for PID 004 009 016.
