A RESOLUTION
No.
WHEREAS, on September 11, 2007, those who lost their lives on September 11,
2001 were honored at the Cunningham Center for Leadership Development;
WHEREAS, this event is known as September 11th Remembrance Day and is sponsored
by CSU, Law Enforcement, Muscogee County School District and community leaders;
WHEREAS, rotating for 11 hours, Lt. Darrell Bryant, Lt. Lynn Martin, FFEMT-1
Charles Herlth and John Burgess, formerly of the CSU Police Department,
volunteered as Honor Guards;
WHEREAS, these men and women served above and beyond the call of duty and acted
unselfishly to give respect to those that had fallen at the World Trade Center;
WHEREAS, the accomplishments of this team are worthy of special recognition by
this Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:
We hereby commend and congratulate Lt. Darrell Bryant, Lt. Lynn Martin, FFEMT-1
Charles Herlth and John Burgess, formerly of the CSU Police Department.
Columbus is proud of this team for their tireless effort to pay tribute to
victims of September 11, 2001. Let a copy of this resolution be forwarded to
Lt. Darrell Bryant, Lt. Lynn Martin, FFEMT-1 Charles Herlth and John Burgess.
