property and provide the Council with a report. (Request of Councilor Suber)

When the staff does the research, don?t just look at what former City

UNPAID PARKING CITATIONS:

Have the staff to ask the State Legislators to pursue our request with the

DMV to introduce legislation authorizing the Columbus, Georgia Department of

Transportation/METRA access to the Georgia Crime Information Center (GCIC)

for the purpose of locating address information used in collection of unpaid

parking citations, but not for the purpose of reviewing criminal history.

(Request

of Mayor Poydasheff)

Also, have the staff to check with other cities to see what they are doing

as it relates with the issue of unpaid parking citations. (Request of

Councilor Turner Pugh)

Have the staff to have someone to ask the Tax Commissioner to respond to

the Council as to the reason why we are unable to send someone in her office to

look at their records. (Request of Councilor Allen)

In the future, no matter what the issue may be, let?s make sure that we

problems we are dealing with. (Request of Councilor Davis)

Have the staff to check with GMA and NLC to see if we can get some idea of

what the standard is on uncollected parking citations. (Request of Councilor

LANDSCAPING MATERIALS CONTRACT:

Have the staff to do some research on the Landscape Material contract, and

evaluate that; because of the amount of material we are purchasing, we may be

able to get a better price than what we are paying. (Request of Councilor Davis)

LEASH LAW:

During the Council?s next Work Session, have the staff, along with the

City

Attorney to have some discussion on what our current leash law is. Also,

there was a list of dogs that were considered dangerous dogs; let?s see what we

have in place, to make sure those dogs are kept in a fence and when they are

out,

make sure they are on a leash. (Request of Councilor Turner Pugh)
