Response 07/25/06 We are not sure of the increase in the number of missed
garbage calls, however we are investigating and will comply a report as soon as
we can and send it to you.
07/27/06- We have reviewed our records for the past 5 years and discovered that
the average number of code 2's for months of June is 315 therefore, 328 is not
an unusually high number for this time of the year. Typically, the summer
months generate more garbage and more customer calls. June collection is 1,000
ton higher than the month of May.
We constantly work to reduce the number of customer calls and are not proud of
the 328 we received in the month of June 2006. However, please consider that
in one month we touch 672,000 customers with 328 calls for missed garbage which
is a ratio of .0005%. That isn't something we are proud of but I believe you
will admit that is not a high number when you consider the number of customers
we touch each day.
If you need any additional information, please let me know.
Rufus Riggs
