O R D I N A N C E S:



(1) 2nd Reading - Property located at 6939 Buena Vista Road is proposed for

rezoning from NC (Neighborhood Commercial) to GC (General Commercial) zoning

district. (18-CA-11-Singh) (Councilor McDaniel) The proposed use is convenience

store with gas sales. The Planning Advisory Commission recommends approval and

the Planning Department recommends conditional approval. (As Amended)

(2) 2nd Reading ? An ordinance repealing the ?No Parking Anytime? zone along

the west curb of Flournoy Drive and the south curb of 17th Street. (Councilor

McDaniel) (Approved)



(3) 2nd Reading - An ordinance amending Chapter 13 of the Columbus Code by

providing that permits issued by the Georgia Environmental Protection Division,

whether by rule or otherwise, shall satisfy the permit requirements of Section

13-167.4. (Councilor McDaniel) (Approved)



(4) 1st Reading? Property located at 2044, 2046, 2048 and 2050 Mason

Street; 502, 504 and 514 20th Avenue; 2037, 2039 and 2043 Cusseta Road is

proposed for rezoning from RMF2 (Residential Multi-Family 2) to RMF1

(Residential Multi-Family 1)) zoning district. (19-CA-11-Columbus Area Habitat

for Humanity) (Councilor Davis) The proposed use is a single family

residential. The Planning Advisory Commission recommends approval and the

Planning Department recommends conditional approval.



(5) 1st Reading ? Text amendments to the Unified Development

Ordinance to correct typographical and clerical errors in various chapters.

(20-A-11-Planning Dept.) (Councilor Davis) The Planning Advisory Commission

and the Planning Department recommend approval.



(6) 1st Reading ? Text amendments to the Unified Development Ordinance to amend

Section 4.2.16 Conversion of Resident6ial Accessory Structure.

(21-D-11-Douglass) (Councilor Henderson) The Planning Advisory Commission and

the Planning Department recommend denial. (Withdrawn)



(7) 1st Reading ? An ordinance providing emergency management authority in

Columbus, Georgia pursuant to O.C.G.A. ??38-3-27 through 38-3-28 and 38-3-54

through 38-3-56. (Councilor McDaniel)



(8) 1st Reading - An ordinance amending the Columbus Code by adding a

new Subsection 2-81(b) related to naming of streets for persons after

recommendation from the Board of Honor. (Councilor Thomas)



(9) 1st Reading - An ordinance amending the Columbus Code by revising

Subsection 3-12(i) pertaining to the requirements for the permission to cater;

and for other purposes. (Councilor Thomas--Recommended by the Alcohol Review

Committee)



(10) 1st Reading - An ordinance amending Section 3-20(d) of the Columbus Code

so as to require alcoholic beverage licenses for manufacturing, distribution,

sale, handling, possession for sale or transport of alcoholic beverages; and

for other purposes. (Councilor Thomas--Recommended by the Alcohol Review

Committee)



(11) 1st Reading - An ordinance amending the Columbus Code by adding a new

subsection 3-1(gg) to provide procedures and restriction on the issuance of

on-premises licenses to certain Non-alcohol Retail Establishments; and for

other purposes. (Councilor Thomas--Recommended by the Alcohol Review Committee)



(12) An Ordinance amending Ordinance No. 01-77 to add two (2) additional

members to the Civic Center Advisory Board. (Councilor Henderson)





R E S O L U T I O N S:



(13) A Resolution requesting that the members of the local congressional

delegation inquire into the matter and seek a moratorium against USPS facility

closures as well as addressing the proposed reduction in service standards.
