SUBJECT: Street Acceptance - Haddonfield Court, Tavistock Court and
that portion
of Woodstream Drive located in Riegel Pointe, Phase II

Recommendation: Approval is requested for the acceptance of Haddonfield Court,
Tavistock Court and that portion of Woodstream Drive located in Riegel Pointe,
Phase II.
Background: Haddonfield Court, Tavistock Court and that portion of Woodstream
Drive located in Riegel Pointe, Phase II has (42) forty-two residential lots.
The streets have been approved and meet the required specifications for
acceptance by the City.
Analysis: A deed has been conveyed to the City conveying Haddonfield Court,
Tavistock Court and that portion of Woodstream Drive located in Riegel Pointe,
Phase II. A description of property is as follows: All that lot, tract or
parcel of land situate, lying and being in Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia,
designated as Haddonfield Court, being a 50 foot right of way, Woodstream
Drive, being a 60 foot right of way, and Tavistock Court, being a 50 foot right
of way all as shown upon a map or plat entitled Final Plat of Riegel Pointe,
Phase Two, Part of Land Lot 82, District 8, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia,
prepared by Becker Survey Company, Inc., dated April 11, 2013, and recorded in
Plat Book 164, Page 11, in the Office of the Clerk of Superior Court of
Muscogee County, Georgia.
Financial Considerations: No City funds are involved until maintenance is
assumed after the two-year warranty.
Projected Annual Fiscal Impact Statement: No City funds are involved until
maintenance is assumed after the two-year warranty
Legal Considerations: In Accordance with Section 18-3 of the Columbus Code,
all dedicated right-of-way must be accepted by Council.
Recommendations/ Actions: Approve the Resolution accepting a deed to
Haddonfield Court, Tavistock Court and that portion of Woodstream Drive located
in Riegel Pointe, Phase II.
A RESOLUTION

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DEED TO HADDONFIELD COURT,
TAVISTOCK COURT AND THAT PORTION OF WOODSTREAM DRIVE LOCATED IN RIEGEL POINTE,
PHASE II ON BEHALF OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA.
WHEREAS, Columbus, Georgia has been submitted a deed conveying Haddonfield
Court, Tavistock Court and that portion of Woodstream Drive located in Riegel
Pointe, Phase II, a full description of property on said deed; and,
WHEREAS, said streets have been improved and meet the required specifications
for acceptance by the City; and,
WHEREAS, the Engineering Department has inspected said streets and recommends
acceptance of same.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That certain deed dated August 30, 2013, conveying Columbus, Georgia,
Haddonfield Court, Tavistock Court and that portion of Woodstream Drive located
in Riegel Pointe, Phase II be and the same is hereby accepted. The Clerk of
Council is hereby authorized to have said deed recorded in the Deed Records in
the Office of the Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia. A copy of the
deed is hereto attached and by this reference made a part of this resolution.
