PUBLIC SAFETY EDUCATIONAL INCENTIVES:



Have the staff to check to see if the educational incentive has been

correctly applied regarding the ordinance that has been proposed to be repealed

in lieu of the new pay plan; specifically for new hires. (Request of Councilor

Henderson)

PROMOTIONAL PROCEDURES:



Have the staff to research to determine the requirements to be promoted to

a major in the Sheriff?s Office, Marshal?s Office, and Police Department and

also to find out about the promotional procedures. (Request of Councilor

PUBLIC SAFETY PENSION PLAN:



Have the staff to provide information on how some of the correctional

officers are under the Public Safety pension plan, while others are not.

(Request of Councilor Woodson)



Also have the staff to provide information on which inmates are considered

to be minimum risk. (Request of Councilor Woodson)
