SUBJECT: Donation for Cooper Creek Tennis Center



INITIATED BY: Parks and Recreation Department





Recommendation: Approval is requested for the acceptance of a donation for

the Cooper Creek Tennis Center.



Background: A citizen has donated $5,000 to Cooper Creek Tennis Center

to be used for items, supplies or equipment needed at the Tennis Center. The

donor requested that there is no public attention to their name and to remain

anonymous at this time.



Analysis: The citizen has expressed a desire to put funds toward needs at the

tennis center as determined by the center supervisor and the Parks and

Recreation Department.



Financial Considerations: This will be at no cost to the City as it is a

private donation.



Projected Annual Fiscal Impact Statement: N/A



Legal Considerations: Council must approve the acceptance of this donation.



Recommendations/ Actions: Approve the donation in the amount of $5,000 to be

used towards equipment, supplies, etc. needed at Cooper Creek Tennis Center.







A RESOLUTION

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER ACCEPT THE DONATION OF $5000 FROM AN

ANONYMOUS DONOR TO BE USED TOWARDS SUPPLIES AND ITEMS NEEDED AT COOPER CREEK

TENNIS CENTER.



WHEREAS, a citizen has donated $5,000 to Cooper Creek Tennis Center to

be used for items, supplies or equipment needed at the Tennis Center. The

donor has requested that there is no public attention to their name and

therefore will remain anonymous at this time; and,

WHEREAS, the anonymous donor has expressed a desire to have this money used

towards needs for the betterment of the Tennis Center at the discretion of the

Tennis Supervisor and Parks and Recreation Department; and,



WHEREAS, the citizen has donated this money and will be of no cost to

the City.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

That the City Manager is hereby authorized to accept a $5,000 donation

by an anonymous donor for use at Cooper Creek Tennis Center.
