I. NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH SIGNS:



Authorization is requested of a variance to the UDO Section 4.4.5 to allow city

crews to install Neighborhood Watch Signs purchased by private parties and

authorize including four styles of Neighborhood Watch Signs in the Police

Department?s Neighborhood Watch Program. An agenda report, resolution and

II. BROWNFIELDS ASSESSMENT GRANT:



Authorization is requested to submit an application and if approved

accept a $200,000 Brownfields Assessment Grant from the United States

Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). An agenda report and resolution are

III. SURPLUS PROPERTY - 2052 WYNNTON ROAD:



Authorization is requested to declare 0.336 +/- acres located at 2052

Wynnton Road as surplus and authorize to advertise and sell said property. An

IV. ACQUISITION OF PROPERTY - 3631 SOUTH LUMPKIN ROAD:



Authorization is requested to purchase 0.86 +/- acres located at 3631

South Lumpkin Road for $50,000 for the Oxbow Meadows Project. An agenda

Scope of Bid

Provide gym floor repairs to include stripping/sealing of wood gym flooring at

Comer Gym, North Columbus Gym, Shirley Winston Gym, Frank D. Chester Gym,

Northside Recreation Center and Psalmond Road Recreation Center, also provide

stripping and refinishing of stage area at Comer gym on an ?as needed basis?.

The contract term will be for two years, with the option to renew for three

additional twelve-month periods.

1. After Events Janitorial Services for Columbus Civic Center (Annual

Contract) ? RFP No. 09-0002

A Mandatory Pre-Proposal Conference/Site Visit will be held Monday, October 20,

2008 at 9:00 AM (Eastern Time). Vendors shall convene in the Oglethorpe

Hospitality Room of the Columbus Civic Center, 400 Fourth Street, Columbus,

GA. Any vendor who is not present in the Oglethorpe Hospitality Room of the

Columbus Civic Center within 10 minutes after the time slated for the beginning

of the mandatory pre-proposal conference/site visit shall not be allowed to

participate any further in this RFP process.

1. 20-Foot Equipment Trailer ? PQ No. 09-0002

Scope of PQ

Provide a 20-foot equipment trailer to the Public Services Department. The

Street Repairs Division will use the trailer to transport a division assigned

backhoe tractor to job sites throughout Muscogee County.

1. Consulting Services for Historic Design Guidelines ? RFP No. 09-0001

Scope of RFP

The Columbus Consolidated Government is seeking proposals to update and

reformat the existing Design Guidelines used for approval of Certificate of

Appropriateness in the locally designated historic districts. This project does

not call for entirely new sets of guidelines. Instead, the successful

consultant will work with and refine existing guidelines creating opportunities

for interpretations that are more specific, color renderings, digitalization,

and other tools.
